Registration for the Suzuki Program

Before registering we request that parents fulfill some prerequisites. We believe that these steps will help you to make the right decision for your child.

• Read one of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki’s books. We recommend the books “Nurtured by Love” or “Ability Development from Age Zero."
• Start a listening program as soon as you decide you wish to pursue a Suzuki program. This entails listening to the Suzuki repertoire as well as other classical music.
• Observe a minimum of 4 lessons. This will help parents to understand the process as well as experience the different teachers. Observations are arranged directly with the teacher(s). Please contact the school for observation information.
• Although not a prerequisite, we also ask that parents attend one of our information sessions. They are held every couple of months.

After you have done your observations and have discussed a proposed lesson time with the teacher of your choice, the teacher will inform the office with information such as the start date and the applicable group. At this time the office will prepare a Parent Handbook for the new applicant which will include an application form, an invoice, the policies as well as other various types of information such as tips for practicing and motivation and listening suggestions.

A $30.00 Registration Fee is charged annually per student. Third sibling (or more) has registration fee waived.
